"The GREATEST experience that I have ever had with a new purchase of ANY kind. Thank you Travis and your staff for making me feel at home."

"After owning two metric bikes I thought I knew what a motorcycle was. The sales manager, who remembered me after just one meeting, allowed me to buy a 2007 Road King Classic from him to show me I knew nothing about what a true motorcycle is. I say allowed because as anyone who owns a Harley knows, once you purchase a Harley you not only get the opportunity to ride the best bike ever built but you become a member of a great family.Everyone associated with Ghost Harley are professional and above all friendly and courteous. Without a doubt the most pleasant experience I have ever had with a purchase. Now forever a Harley owner!"

"Just wanted to say Thank you to everyone at Ghost Town H-D that helped us out on June 19/20, 09. We just finished riding the Dragon when my 08 Ultra started acting up. We limped to Robbinsville thinking that maybe we picked up some bad gas, but that wasn’t the case. I pulled out the trusty HOG atlas and found Ghost Town H-D to be the closest dealer. After a quick call to the dealership we limped (again) another 50+ miles and pulled in at 5:30 Friday late afternoon. Tim Cox, the service manager came out and quickly diagnosed the problem as an internal fuel line/filter recall problem. A quick check with the parts dept to make sure they had the recall kit put me at ease for the rest of the evening. The next morning the crew put the new parts on, and after a quick test ride we were out the door. With a 540 mile road trip in store for us on Sat they had us out the door by 10:30. Many thanks to Tim and the mechanics that put us back on the road in such short order. This is my first breakdown, so I don’t have anything to compare to. Hope I don’t have to find out, but if I do, you’ve set the bar to compare against. Ride safe! Paul "

" We are especially thankful of how Ghost Town Harley-Davidson treated us and repaired our 1998, 95th Anniversary Ultra Electra Glide during Oct 3rd and 4th of 2008. We originally planned on heading back home a Friday ,morning after visiting the Wheels Through Time Museum. We intended to ride Friday evening and stop at a motel by nightfall, then get up Saturday and ride the rest of the way home. By doing so we would have Sunday to recover and rest before the end of Melanie's vacation. It didn't happen the way we planned. Our bike wouldn't start at the museum. Some kind people from Conn. and Fla. pushed it and it started. As soon as the engine was running, I noticed there was no voltage charging. I knew what the problem was, it had happened once before. The stator was out and this was something that had to be fixed before attempting a return home. I removed the headlight fuse since it would otherwise have drained the battery quickly, then rode out following some hand written directions to the nearest Harley-Davidson dealership. I didn?t have time to look over the instructions, and my wife read them to me. At every turn, I kept thinking I was going the wrong direction. This just added to the stress as my engine continued to progressively run poorly. Soon into the ride, my trusted old ride was wanting to cease running as the bike battery was rapidly being depleted. We could only reach about 30 mph and it was becoming difficult to keep the bike running. With it coughing, spitting and only hitting occasionally we pulled into Ghost Town Harley-Davidson in Waynesville, NC. and the engine died. About 40 minutes later I turned on the ignition and the battery hadn't recovered enough to make the LED on my radio visible. I had totally drained the battery limping to the dealership. Ghost Town Harley-Davidson gave us the best service and consideration you could imagine. They put us ahead of their work schedule and had the stator replaced by closing time. Our mechanic, Jason, test rode the bike after closing time. He didn?t feel comfortable with us leaving. The battery wasn't fully charged, and he felt there would be too much strain on the charging system. He suggested we spend the night in the Lodge Motel, so we took his advice. Jason took us to the Lodge Motel in his private car and the motel was even kind enough to give us a discount because of our dilemma. Another GTHD employee (can't remember his name) picked us up late the next morning in his car. During the morning they load tested my battery twice, recharged it and decided the battery was still good. How could you possibly get better service than all this. It was like we were family. This dealership was so helpful, and went out of their way to take care of us. The dealership has a large selection of clothes and riding apparel that I'd never seen. Also, they have a comfortable waiting room with recliner chairs and cable TV. This is one of the best experiences that I have had with a Harley-Davidson dealership. I just can't make enough great comments about GTHD and all of the employees. It made us feel good to know there still dealerships like this in America and being a HD dealership made it even better. It seemed like everyone from the shop to the showroom knew about our situation and different employees would continually keep up updated on the repair progress. Everyone was super nice to us and helped us feel at ease. When the mechanics decided our bike was back to pristine condition, they wished us a safe and enjoyable ride. We set out again on the return trip in the early afternoon. We really enjoyed our trip and look forward to returning to the Smokies. When I do, I will definitely stop and visit Ghost Town Harley-Davidson in Waynesville, NC and thank them again. And if I spend the night, I'll stay at the Lodge motel. Motorcycle trips just don't get any better than that. Sometimes it may take a little stress and worry like a mechanical failure for one to be reminded that there are still a lot of good people in this world and a lot of them live near Waynesville, NC." "My Road King had a fuel filter failure (recall) while at Deals Gap, NC. I contacted my dealer in SC who contacted Tim Cox in the Service Dept at Ghost Town HD. I called Tim who set me up with the needed repairs and tow service to get my bike in. The next morning Tim moved me ahead of other bikes in the shop and got me back on the road in a couple hours. Adrianne kept us up to date on the repairs. The entire staff at Ghost Town was friendly and helpful. Great service for an out-of- owner. I recommend Ghost Town HD for anyone visiting the western mountains of NC. Great job!"

"I was in your town last week on a 4,214 mile vacation trip. I have 2008 Ultra classic that had the stock mufflers on it. Well I wanted some noise to it so I pulled into your store. I talked to parts counter and asked if they had any slip on mufflers that I could get put on without having to retune the bike. They were great in helping me with that. Then asked if I could get them installed that day? They told me to talk to Tim in service. Well I want you to know that Tim went way beyond the call of duty, him and Amanda (hope that is her name in the back). Made me feel like I was a VIP, Tim told me that they were down a mechanic and stack up with repairs. But that he would try to work me in. He then told me that he would work threw his lunch to get them on. I went to Amanda (really hope that is her name I’m so bad with names) she was so great, and had a very good personality, and gave her my info. 45 min. later my bike was ready. I want to thank you for having such great people working for you and how much it meant to my wife and me to be treated as if we were VIPs. I will tell every body about your great place. Thanks again. "I am a woman only 5'2" tall. I wanted a Harley sooo bad, I tried so many bikes but I was just too short. A lot of the bikes could not be shortened enough to fit me. When I went to Gene Lummus in Waynesville, the salesmen (2 of them), the mechanics, and parts manager all got together with me. They all took as much time as I needed and found a Soft Tail Delux that could be lowered and fit just right for me! This was a very wonderful and pleasant experience, especially for my very first street bike. I recommend THIS dealership to anyone and everyone looking for not only a good motorcycle but GREAT customer service too! I love my Harley and ride it often. These guys are great.... Ray, Dallas, Scott, Tim, and Jason, hats off to ya'll!"

"I want to thank the staff at your dealer for getting my freinds bike back on the road June 25th 2008. Tim was great in adjusting his busy schedule to get my group back on the road in only one day. They had a lot to do. We put on over a thousand miles going home with out a concern in the world. As an owner of a service business myself you should be proud of the professionalism of your staff. Thank you, Tim- your the best service manager have met at any Dealer Bike or Vehicle, Matt, Adrianne, Woody, and especially Jason for a great job. A technician that can explain the process that they have gone through clearly and decisively shows that they truely know their craft."

"I was on my maiden cruise with my first bike when my partner's '07 Wide Glide started acting up, battery was intermittent/dead. It was about closing and I thought we were SOL but were thrilled to find that your service people took time out to fix the problem. No grumbling; friendly, skilled and obviously great mechanics as they had Steve back on the road in short order. They turned our potential disaster into a great ride to remember forever! Thanks to Ghost Town Harley and Mr Cox in service for being the greatest!"

"I recently was on a road trip to the spring cherokee rally when I had trouble with my bike. Luckily I was close to your dealership, and was able to limp the bike into your service department. I can not thank you enough for the fine service that I received. Your service writer was very nice and worked me in as soon as she could. The mechanic was very polite and knowledgeable. He got my bike fixed (trash in the carb) and me back on the road in a short amount of time. If I had to break down I am glad that I was near your dealership. Thanks so much, and please let your people know what a great job that they are doing. P.S. I will stop by again whenever passing your way."

"I visited GhostTown in Waynesville NC and other Harley dealerships in Atlanta on occasion, thinking about buying a Harley and when I retired and moved to NC for good, I decided to pull the trigger and chose GhostTown after visiting the store several times. The price of a Harley was pretty standard everywhere as far as I could tell but I chose Lumis / GhostTown due to Travis the General Manager and the other friendly employees and the selection of merchandise and accessories. I also asked others about the service department, which was most important to me. Since my purchase, I have been totally pleased with Stephen and Robbie and the other guy's in service and with Scott and Woody in parts and Joanne and the other girls in merchandise. Overall it's a great dealership and the people there will go out of their way to help out. The dealership is near the Balsam entrance to the Blue Ridge Pkwy and I have heard several good comments in reference to the service dept helping out traveling Harley owners to get them back on the road."

"Just wanted to say thanks to the great staff for getting us back on the road quickly, even though they were extremely busy. We had the pleasure of meeting Travis Lummus, who treated us like family. He even offered us breakfast and drinks while we waited! My husband was having some trouble with his clutch and it needed adjusting, they said bring it in. We had ridden all the way from Tampa Florida, and still had to climb the mountain to our cabin. It was filthy from the rain we hit in Georgia, I hadn't washed it yet. They adjusted the clutch, and washed it for a whole $8.00(for a gasket) We were even invited on a charity ride, but we had just ridden 650 miles and needed to unpack and check in our cabin. Travis asked if we wanted to move up there, honestly we had been thinking about it. Now we are sure. Never have I met such nice people. Florida dealerships could take lessons from them. No wonder they are #1 in the country in service. They earned it!!!! Thanks for everything. See ya'll soon! Mike & Michelle Colley"

"As per my recent E-Mail to Gene Lummus, Stephen, Forrest and Jason stayed and worked overtime on Friday, Oct 13, 2006 on my Harley Trike which broke down in the mountains. They were tired, it was Friday night and they so did not want to be there working!!!! Stephen was most personable, grateous and accommodating to my friends and I. They deserve huge recognition for their loyalty to your store."
